The Berg Garden centre is a nursery with a teaching and display garden, greenhouses, small animal enclosure and children's play facilities. Since 1970, the former ornamental plant farm has been cultivated according to the biodynamic Demeter guidelines. This cultivation is particularly gentle on the environment and the soil and is in harmony with nature. In the nursery's show garden, various vegetables, spices and flowers are planted and signposted with informative panels. Visitors have the opportunity to see how celery, beetroot, marjoram or thyme grow. The enclosures with chickens, ducks and rabbits are particularly exciting for children. The bee house and the wild bee box are also bustling with activity.

The regional and seasonal Demeter vegetables can either be ordered home weekly in the form of a vegetable basket or, after an introductory course and with the permission of the nursery, you can pick them yourself on the farm.

Guided tours with schools through the nursery are available on request.

Refreshments

There are no catering facilities at the nursery. Instead, various restaurants, cafés and shopping facilities are available in Weil am Rhein.

The Berg nursery can be reached by public transport via Eimeldingen railway station. For those travelling by car or bicycle, access to the Berg nursery is signposted on the road between Binzen and Fischingen.
