The Mülibach is the right tributary of the Bachgraben in Allschwil in the canton of Basel-Landschaft. It flows from Neuwiller in Alsace and used to drive the mill wheel at the Allschwil "Restaurant Mühle". In the forest and along the stream there are many fireplaces and plenty of space for children to play. The Plumbi playground borders on a small nature reserve with amphibian-rich ponds and an occurrence of arrowhead. If you follow the path along the Mühlibach further into the valley, you will pass various ponds that were built to replace the ponds of the former clay pit in Allschwil. The adjacent large earthen embankment forms the flood retention basin and is capable of holding back up to 200,000 m3 of water during heavy precipitation. This measure should prevent flooding from the Mülibach in Allschwil in the future. Such events have occurred several times in recent decades.

From the "Allschwil Dorf" tram station, walk past the "Restaurant Mühle" and the surrounding farm buildings. Along the stocked banks or on the shady forest path, the route leads up into the gently rising valley. Shady picnic and barbecue spots or just the hike in the beech forest are the goal of the excursion. A bridge leads from the forest path over the Mülibach stream to the large "Plumpi" playground. From here you can walk up the slope to the left and reach a plateau with the hamlet "Bim Chrüz" and the restaurant "Spitzwald". If, on the other hand, you follow the stream, you come to the high-water dam. Behind the dam, a path also leads to the adjacent plateau to the southwest and to the "Bim Chrüz" pond. From here it is possible to descend in a north-easterly direction to the Pond of Allschwil and public transport.

The path is partly suitable for prams.

There are many picnic and barbecue areas in the forest and along the stream. Allschwil also has a variety of shops and restaurants, for example the "Spitzwald" restaurant or the "Mühle" restaurant.

Arrival

Take public transport to the "Allschwil" terminus, from where you can continue on foot to the Mülibach. There is a parking space for bicycles at the top of the Mühlebachweg. Travellers by car will find a parking space near the "Spitzwald" restaurant or at the Allschwil Mühlerain shooting range.
